Abstract

This study aims to explore and determine the effectiveness and readiness of instructors to adopt immersive technologies in enhancing the quality of higher education at the University of Mosul. The relationship between the independent variable (immersive technologies) and its relationship with the dependent variable (quality of education) was tested. The questionnaire form was designed to survey the opinions of a sample of faculty members at the University of Mosul, whose number of instructors is (4747). The paper and electronic questionnaire were used and distributed to all (24) colleges affiliated to the University of Mosul. Using a five-weight Likert scale, data were collected from the study sample using a simple random sample of (455) valid forms for analysis representing the study sample. The relationships of influence between the study variables were analyzed and the reliability of the scales was tested using the (AMOSv24 SPSSv26) software packages The research results indicate that all hypothesized relationships support the proposed model and provide a framework for Iraqi and Arab universities seeking to integrate immersive technologies into the academic field. One of the most important suggestions reached by the research is that the dimensions of immersive technologies impact enhancing educational quality. Their value is highlighted by the limited literature examining the relationship between immersive technologies and quality, particularly in the context of Iraqi universities
